Why did you choose your profession?

I truly like to create and contribute to organizations that build great things. I also like to touch as many people as I can and so Operations is my forte. I get to manage the organization from soup to nuts and from the inside and have a chance to make things better internally for people and externally for customers.

Who are your main influences?

One of my key influences is Albert Einstein who was a below average student but became a force to reckon with. My grandfather Mr. Chitnis was another incredible person in my life. Brilliant and super smart with a 165 IQ and with incredible EQ and empathy for his fellow beings.

What is your greatest accomplishment?

I think my greatest achievement is that I was able to transform myself from a micromanager into a Level 5 leader. Learning empathy and leading large teams with passion and energy. Here I saw the benefits of real leadership. And the effectiveness of fantastic teamwork.

What tools do you use?

Systems, Empathy, Drive and the ability to deliver products with flawless execution.

What are you working on right now?

My next leadership position.

What are your long-term goals?

At some point I would like to lead an organization as its CEO.

Which recent projects are you proud of?

I had done several large scale projects in pretty short spans of time. One of them was an impossible project to complete in a compressed timeline. Listing it below.

A few years ago, the company I worked for embarked on a significant growth project in the consumer-electronics optic space, with the goal of building an outsourced factory within 10 months. Lacking expertise and experience in the organization, the head of the company assigned it to me, a newer employee who had experience in scaling projects in a short timeframe, to lead the project with complete autonomy.

​

I was to build a project team consisting of eager, high-performing individuals and solicited support from process engineering, R&D, and operations. A detailed project plan was developed, and tasks were assigned to team members with specific measurements and timeframes for delivery. Simultaneously, external partnerships were explored and selected to assist with the project.

​

My team worked extensively, creating flowcharts for their processes, including transactions, material flow, logistical and system setups, quality setups, and yield management. The factory was built and commissioned in 9 ½ months, ahead of the production schedule. The project's success was attributed to the strong engagement and desire to succeed among team members, who were willing to overcome challenges and work tirelessly to achieve their goals. This resulted in a revenue model that doubled the company's revenue and established its presence in the consumer-electronics market.
